Netflix has confirmed the release of a four-part docuseries on Sean “Diddy” Combs, titled Sean Combs: The Reckoning, which will premiere globally on December 2, 2025.

The series is executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and directed by Emmy-award winner Alexandria Stapleton. It features interviews and archival footage that have not previously been made public, offering viewers new insight into Combs’s personal and professional life.

Across four hour-long episodes, the documentary traces Combs’s rise in the music industry, from founding Bad Boy Records to launching artists such as The Notorious B.I.G. and Mase. It also addresses the legal challenges and controversies that have shaped his public image, including sexual assault allegations and his 2025 prison sentence for transporting individuals for prostitution. By exploring both achievements and setbacks, the series aims to provide a full picture of the man behind the public persona.

50 Cent said producing the series involved speaking with people directly involved in the events, including former collaborators and witnesses. Director Alexandria Stapleton added that the series also reflects the way society elevates celebrities, often without considering the consequences that come with that attention.

The timing of the release is particularly relevant. Combs’s legal situation remains a talking point within the music community, and the documentary gives audiences an opportunity to engage with the story firsthand rather than through media speculation.

For Netflix, Sean Combs: The Reckoning continues its investment in music-focused documentaries. For viewers, it promises an in-depth look at one of hip-hop’s most influential and controversial figures, exploring both his professional accomplishments and the challenges that have defined his life. Mzansi Celebrities at the Netflix ‘Bad Influencer’ Meet and Greet

Published

Sandton’s Nelson Mandela Square buzzed with celebrity energy last weekend as South African stars showed up for the ‘Bad Influencer’ meet and greet. The Netflix event brought together actors, digital creators and fans, turning the square into one of the liveliest spots in Johannesburg for the evening.

Front and centre was Zozibini Tunzi, whose debut acting role in the series has been the talk of the town. The former Miss Universe looked confident and relaxed as she interacted with fans and posed for photos. Her shift from pageantry to acting has made her one of the most watched names in entertainment right now, and her appearance only added to the excitement.

Comedian and content creator Lasizwe Dambuza also made an appearance, dressed in black and full of his usual confidence. His interaction with fans brought a lively energy to the evening, showing his natural connection with audiences both online and in person.

The show’s lead, Jo-Anne Reyneke, joined co-stars Cindy Mahlangu and Tunzi to meet fans and chat about the upcoming series. They stopped for interviews, signed autographs, and shared moments with attendees eager to get a closer look at the faces behind the show.

The event brought together traditional television personalities and online creators in one space, showing how the country’s entertainment worlds now overlap more naturally than ever.

Bad Influencer, set to premiere on 31 October, follows BK, a single mother drawn into a web of online fame and deceit. The story dives into the cost of chasing visibility in a digital world — a theme that clearly resonated with the crowd that evening.

For many, it wasn’t just about promoting a new Netflix show; it was about celebrating South African talent and seeing their favourite personalities in person.

Bad Influencer arrives at a time when local creators are claiming their space online and on-screen, proving that Mzansi’s mix of humour, style and storytelling continues to set its own pace. If the meet and greet was anything to go by, the show’s debut later this month won’t just trend; it will get people talking for real.
