Beyoncé is now halfway to EGOT glory. After more than three decades in the spotlight, she has finally secured her first Emmy award, a win that secures her position beyond music. Known for owning both the stage and the charts, this trophy was more than overdue. When the news broke, fans held their breath, knowing this wasn’t just another win. How History Was Made

On December 25, 2024,  Beyoncé turned a  normal NFL show into a cultural event. In the “Beyoncé Bowl,” a streaming special on Netflix, she blended her Western style with the rich traditions of Black Southern heritage, turning the performance into both a celebration and a statement, showing live performances from her Cowboy Carter album at Houston’s NRG Stadium. With Post Malone, Shaboozey, and even her daughter Blue Ivy joining her, the show drew in a record-breaking 27 million viewers and became one of Netflix’s most-viewed sports specials ever.

Beyoncé and the Team Take the Emmy Costumes for Variety Award 

At the 77th Creative Arts Emmy Awards, Beyoncé and her team were honored with the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction, or Reality Programming. This was a juried category—given by experts in the costume craft. Stylist Shiona Turini joined Beyoncé in celebrating the victory, along with assistants Erica Rice, Molly Peters, costume supervisor Chelsea Staebell, and head of workroom Timothy White.

Fans Joyous as Award was announced 

On social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter), many fans celebrated her. Pop base expressed joy that Beyoncé has finally won an Emmy Award. What’s Next for Beyonce in the Coming Months? 

The excitement doesn’t stop at costumes. She is now a contender in two more Emmy categories: Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special and Outstanding Variety Special. In an intriguing twist, she’s up against her husband Jay-Z who was nominated as the executive producer of Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show for the Variety Special award.

Michael B. Jordan Wins His First Oscar for ‘Sinners’ at the 98th Academy Awards

Michael B. Jordan won his first Oscar for Best Actor for his role in Sinners at the 98th Academy Awards which was held on March 16, 2026.

Jordan won the award for his role as twins, Elijah “Smoke” and Elias “Stack” Moore. In the movie, he portrayed two different personalities.

The win was significant because it was Jordan’s first Academy Award and nomination. At 39, he joined became one of the few black actors, alongside Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington, and Jamie Foxx who had won the Best Actor award.

In his acceptance speech, Jordan thanked his family, his fans, and longtime collaborator Ryan Coogler, who directed Sinners.

Of Coogler, whom he had worked with five times, he said:

so honoured to to call you a collaborator and a friend and give me an opportunity and space for me to be seen. I love you too, bro.”

He acknowledged the actors who came before him, saying he stood on their shoulders.
