Boity Celebrates the Launch of Bathu’s New Volt Pack in Style
Boity Thulo joined guests in Johannesburg to celebrate the launch of the Volt Pack, a new sneaker range from Bathu. The event brought together media personalities, influencers and invited guests to mark the introduction of the latest collection from the South African footwear brand.
Bathu was founded by entrepreneur Theo Baloyi and first gained attention for its township-inspired sneaker designs. The company began in Alexandra and has since expanded with stores across South Africa, becoming one of the country’s locally founded sneaker brands with a strong retail presence.

During the launch event, Thulo was introduced as the ambassador for the Volt collection. Her association with the brand follows years of public support for Bathu and its founder.
At the launch, Thulo appeared on stage wearing a structured grey blazer dress layered over a buttoned shirt and tie. The outfit was cinched at the waist with a wide burgundy belt detailed with metal studs. She paired the look with white athletic sneakers from the collection and minimal jewellery.

Speaking at the event, she described the collaboration as a natural progression after watching the company grow from a small business into a national retail brand.
The Volt Pack includes three sneaker models: the V-120, V-180 and V-240. Each design incorporates the bright Volt colour concept used throughout the range. The sneakers combine mesh uppers with lightweight construction and colour accents intended to reflect current streetwear preferences.
Baloyi said customer feedback influenced elements of the new designs. According to the founder, the company regularly gathers responses from its customers when developing new products, using that input when refining styles and materials.

The launch took place at a Johannesburg venue decorated with colourful lighting and display installations presenting the Volt Pack designs. Guests were able to view the sneakers up close while music and DJ sets continued throughout the evening.
For Thulo, the partnership adds to a career that spans television, music and entrepreneurship. In addition to her entertainment work, she has been involved in several business ventures and brand collaborations over the years.
The Volt Pack sneakers are now available through Bathu stores and online, marking the latest product release from the South African footwear company.

Tyla’s Snakeskin Backless Top Isn’t Real, It’s a Temporary Tattoo
Tyla has always been fearless when it comes to fashion, but her latest Paris Fashion Week appearance showed a new level of creativity. The singer caught attention when she stepped out wearing what appeared to be a daring snakeskin backless top, only for fans to later discover that the piece was, in fact, a temporary tattoo applied to her skin. She debuted the look while attending the Crazy Horse cabaret in Paris. Social media reacted as the unconventional outfit showed how body art can be used in fashion
It went viral on Instagram and was discussed across social media. At first glance, it appeared to be a fitted mock neck shirt with snakeskin pattern textures and zipper details. However, designer Simon Carle revealed that the piece was created using temporary tattoo sheets.

According to Carle, the tattoo was designed as a single-use fashion piece meant to peel away like a snake shedding its skin, fitting the reptile theme behind the look.
Tyla wore the outfit during Paris Fashion Week. The singer paired the tattoo top with ultra low-rise jeans, and a snakeskin patterned handbag.

Temporary tattoos have appeared in fashion before, but rarely as the main garment itself. By turning body art into clothing, Tyla and Carle created a wearable fashion piece. The concept shows a growing trend in celebrity fashion where artists explore unconventional materials to create memorable moments.

Thabee Happy Serves Minimalist Style in White and Black
South African influencer Thabee Happy Lethabo appears in a series of photos taken outside Kolonaki, wearing a minimalist outfit built around a black-and-white combination. The look centres on structured clothing and restrained accessories.
The outfit includes a white structured top with sculpted sleeves and a defined waistline. The design introduces volume at the shoulders while keeping a fitted shape through the upper body.
