Published

on

Netflix has confirmed the release of a four-part docuseries on Sean “Diddy” Combs, titled Sean Combs: The Reckoning, which will premiere globally on December 2, 2025.

The series is executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and directed by Emmy-award winner Alexandria Stapleton. It features interviews and archival footage that have not previously been made public, offering viewers new insight into Combs’s personal and professional life.

Diddy – Instagram

Across four hour-long episodes, the documentary traces Combs’s rise in the music industry, from founding Bad Boy Records to launching artists such as The Notorious B.I.G. and Mase. It also addresses the legal challenges and controversies that have shaped his public image, including sexual assault allegations and his 2025 prison sentence for transporting individuals for prostitution. By exploring both achievements and setbacks, the series aims to provide a full picture of the man behind the public persona.

50 Cent said producing the series involved speaking with people directly involved in the events, including former collaborators and witnesses. Director Alexandria Stapleton added that the series also reflects the way society elevates celebrities, often without considering the consequences that come with that attention.

The timing of the release is particularly relevant. Combs’s legal situation remains a talking point within the music community, and the documentary gives audiences an opportunity to engage with the story firsthand rather than through media speculation.

For Netflix, Sean Combs: The Reckoning continues its investment in music-focused documentaries. For viewers, it promises an in-depth look at one of hip-hop’s most influential and controversial figures, exploring both his professional accomplishments and the challenges that have defined his life. The series is expected to spark conversation among fans, critics, and anyone interested in the intersections of fame, power, and accountability.
