Bonang Matheba Goes All Black in Gucci
Bonang Matheba opted for head-to-toe black Gucci tailoring for an evening with the Italian fashion house. The South African media personality wore an oversized blazer, a plunging blouse and wide-leg trousers, with each piece in the same deep shade.
Matheba shared photographs of the outfit on 26 October, identifying it as Look 61 from Demna’s debut Autumn/Winter 2026 collection for Gucci. The coordinated look puts the focus on tailoring, with a combination of relaxed proportions and a plunging neckline.

The oversized blazer has broad shoulders, generous lapels and sleeves with turned-back cuffs. She wore it open over a matching blouse with a deep neckline, leaving part of her chest exposed. The high-waisted trousers follow the same colour and have a wide-leg cut that extends towards the floor. The longer jacket and full-length trousers give the outfit a loose, oversized fit.
Gold accessories provide contrast against the black clothing. Matheba carried a structured black Gucci handbag with a short top handle, a shoulder strap and gold hardware across the front. She also wore a long gold chain necklace, bracelets, rings and hoop earrings. Slim, tinted sunglasses completed the accessories, while black shoes were partially visible beneath the trousers.

Her beauty look included long, straight hair with a centre part, worn loose around her shoulders. Her makeup featured defined brows, warm-toned eyeshadow, softly sculpted cheeks and nude-brown lipstick.
The outfit reflects Matheba’s established preference for luxury labels and tailored fashion. While her red-carpet appearances often include elaborate gowns, she also wears coordinated separates, statement accessories and sharply structured pieces. This Gucci appearance gives her a different take on formal dressing, with the oversized tailoring and gold jewellery providing the main details.
