‘Beauty in Black’ Star Ricco Ross to Co-Host Ndlala Grandeur in Pretoria

Ricco Ross is set to visit South Africa for the first time this December, where he will take on hosting duties at Ndlala Grandeur in Pretoria. The actor who has gained attention through Tyler Perry’s Netflix drama Beauty in Black, will serve as the red carpet and show co-host for the event.

Ross will appear at Ndlala Grandeur Season 1 at Ndlala Arena on December 16 and 17, 2026. The wider Ndlala Grandeur season is scheduled to run from December 16 to 19, with the full entertainment line-up still to be announced.

Ross became popular playing Horace Bellarie in Beauty in Black. However, Ross’s career stretches beyond the Netflix drama. He played Sergeant Griggs in the Rambo film franchise, giving him a long-standing connection to Hollywood productions. 

His upcoming South African visit comes as the Ndlala Grandeur brand becomes prominent  in Pretoria. The concert series focuses on R&B and has brought several international names to Ndlala Arena, including Mýa, RL, Ginuwine, Case and Tyrese.

The second edition, Ndlala Grandeur II, took place in August and took place as a three-programme. The event was created to offer audiences a good festival, with an emphasis on overall guest experience.

Ross’s addition also gives the December event a strong entertainment and Hollywood connection. His popularity among Beauty in Black viewers could attract fans who are interested in meeting him, watching him host and experiencing the event beyond its music programme.

The venue sits at the corner of Steve Biko and Pretorius Streets.
